Composite Metals

Metal composite material (MCM) paneling is a popular choice for architects and general contractors throughout New York. Constructed by tightly bonding two metal sheets to a thermoplastic core, MCMs are highly durable and ideal for numerous types of exterior and interior architectural installations.

The Advantages of MCM

The MCM manufacturing process produces a stable and finely balanced panel, providing a flush, sleek design. Additionally, MCM paneling can be custom-finished to achieve your desired aesthetic. MCM sheets are available in various types of metals and alloys, including:

  • Aluminum (also known as aluminum composite metal or ACM)
  • Zinc
  • Copper
  • Stainless steel
  • Titanium

Eco-Friendly

Many MCMs are comprised of large quantities of high-quality recycled metals. Because of this, certain MCMs score highly on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system.

Versatility

MCMs are easily bent or curved, making them optimal for architectural applications of all shapes and dimensions. Composite metal is also an excellent option for beam wraps and column covers. At Castle Architectural Metals, our CNC capabilities give you access to all the advantages MCMs offer.

Additional MCM Advantages

MCM architectural paneling is lightweight, sturdy, cost-efficient, and easy to install. MCMs also possess fire retardant properties and can be implemented in retrofitting projects.

Composite Metal Rainscreen and Wet-Seal Systems

We fabricate our high-performance Composite Metal Rainscreen and Wet-Seal Systems to withstand the potentially damaging effects of windblown precipitation against exterior architectural façades. Castle Architectural Metals’ Composite Metal Rainscreen System typically includes a 4mm composite spline. Our Composite Metal Wet-Seal System utilizes backer rod and joint sealant and is available from various manufacturers in standard and custom colors.
